I have been an ECU member for nearly 25 years and it was the best thing I ever did opening a savings account with them. I took out my first loan 22 years ago and practically every year since I've had a top up loan which helps me pay for holidays or car costs. I love the fact that using my ECU account, whether it's checking my savings account or applying for a loan, is all done online, so easy to access and use. Applying for a loan is the easiest thing you can do. My interaction with staff, be it over the phone or in person at a branch is always a pleasurable experience, the staff are knowledge, friendly and always ready to help. There's is no bank or building society, that could surpass ECU, it is the best. Reviewed on: 12th July 2026
