Monzo's under 16 account is a proper boon for parents

5
he Monzo under 16 account is a proper boon for parents and teens alike. Getting it set up was a doddle through the app, and it's brilliant that it doesn't cost a penny. For young 'uns just starting to get to grips with managing their own money, it's spot on. The separate app for them is really well thought out – it gives them a sense of independence while still letting parents keep an eye on things. Seeing their spending in black and white helps them learn the value of money and make better choices. Plus, the ability for parents to top up their account instantly is super handy for pocket money or little emergencies. The security features are also reassuring. Knowing they can freeze their card instantly if it gets lost gives you peace of mind. And the spending notifications they get help them track what's going in and out. It's a fantastic way to introduce teenagers to the world of digital banking in a safe and controlled environment. It teaches them responsibility without the worry of hefty fees or complicated stuff. Definitely a top-notch way for young people to manage their money. Reviewed on: 15th April 2025

I've been using Monzo Flex credit card, and...

I've been using the Monzo Flex credit card for a bit now, and I've got to say, it's a rather clever bit of kit. The way it lets you spread out the cost of purchases is genuinely useful, especially for those slightly bigger spends. Being able to choose your repayment plan – whether it's over 3, 6, or 12 months – gives you a proper sense of control, and it's all laid out nice and clearly in the app. Speaking of the app, managing the Flex card through it is a doddle, just like the current account. You can see exactly what you've spent, what your upcoming payments are, and change your plans within certain limits, which is handy if your situation changes. What I particularly appreciate is the transparency. There aren't any sneaky hidden fees that I've come across, and the app makes it really obvious what the interest will be if you choose a longer repayment plan. It helps you make informed decisions, which is always a good thing. It integrated seamlessly with my existing Monzo account, which made the whole application process and day-to-day use really smooth. It feels like a natural extension of their banking service. For anyone looking for a flexible way to manage their spending and spread out costs without any fuss, the Monzo Flex credit card is definitely worth a look. It's straightforward, easy to manage, and puts you in control. Reviewed on: 15th April 2025

I've been with Monzo for nearly a decade and...

I've been with Monzo for nearly a decade I can safely say it's been a solid choice all this time. Switching over way back when was a piece of cake, and honestly, their app has just got better and better over the years. It's still the easiest way to keep tabs on my spending, those instant notifications are still a lifesaver, and seeing where my money's actually going is always clear as day. What's kept me around is how it just works. Setting budgets is still a doddle, and those little reminders are just as helpful now as they were at the start. And knowing I can freeze my card in a flash if I misplace it still gives me that bit of security. Even after all this time, dealing with Monzo has been straightforward. Their customer service has always been on the ball whenever I've needed them. For everyday banking that's consistently reliable and makes managing your money a proper breeze, Monzo's been the ticket for me for nearly ten years now, and I don't see that changing anytime soon. I've been using Monzo for a while now, and I can honestly say it's transformed the way I manage my money. The app is incredibly user-friendly, with a clean and intuitive interface that makes banking a breeze. Here's what I particularly love: * Real-time notifications: Instant alerts for every transaction give me complete visibility of my spending, helping me stay on top of my finances. * Budgeting tools: The 'Pots' feature is fantastic for setting aside money for specific goals. It's made saving so much easier and more enjoyable. * Easy spending breakdowns: The app automatically categorises my spending, providing clear insights into where my money goes. This has been invaluable for identifying areas where I can cut back. * Excellent customer service: Whenever I've had a question, Monzo's customer service has been quick and helpful. * Modern and convenient: The overall experience is just so much more modern and convenient than traditional banking. Overall, I highly recommend Monzo to anyone looking for a seamless and user-friendly banking experience. It's truly a game-changer! Reviewed on: 11th March 2025

Monzo Flex has changed how I manage my finances.

5
Monzo Flex has changed how I manage my finances. Here's why: Flexibility: I can spread the cost of purchases over 3, 6, or 12 months, and the 3-month option is interest-free! Perfect for unexpected expenses or planned purchases that I'd rather pay for gradually. Easy to use: The app is super intuitive. I can "flex" past purchases in a few taps and keep track of my payment plans easily. Reviewed on: 8th March 2024
