Review of the Saga, Car insurance:

I have been with Saga Car Insurance for over 4 years...

I have been with Saga Car Insurance for over 4 years now and i haven’t got any negative things or complaints at all. They are a very reputable and trustworthy company, who sets the benchmark in the Insurance Industry and specialise in people over the age of 50. Saga was one of the first Insurers to offer 3 year fixed pricing and 3 Competitive Insurance Cover Levels. I have always taken out their top cover “Saga’s Plus” Policy and fixed my insurance price for 3 years, which suits me perfectly especially since Insurance always increases with inflation and the number of accident/theft claims per annum. Saga’s Customer Service Agents are fantastic people to deal with. They have always been friendly to talk to, respectful with my queries and very helpful and knowledgeable about the Insurance Industry and their products. A few years ago I had to put in a claim as a hospital van had hit my parked car in the hospital car park. I was very fortunate to get the van’s details before the driver had a chance to drive off. As soon as I got home I phoned Saga’s Claim Line and spoke to a wonderful, helpful lady, who took all the details re incident. I was very upset about the situation but relieved due to her reassuring and concerned nature. The claims process went so smoothly and the claims agent always kept in contact with me re updates. I was given the option of writing the car off as it wasn’t viable to repair the car due to the cars age or I could have some compensation and keep my car. In the end I decided to take the compensation and keep my car as the engine has always been serviced every year and is in fantastic condition. With the compensation money I repaired my car and am still driving it today. My whole claim was completed within a few weeks. I hope to insure my car with Saga for many years as I am so happy with their Insurance Cover and their fantastic service. Reviewed on: 27th August 2026
