Two months lost and safety concerns unresolved

1
My accident happened on 18 July 2026. More than two months later, I am still waiting for Admiral to arrange a complete investigation and provide a clear plan for making my car safe. I have emailed and contacted Admiral repeatedly. This has taken a considerable amount of my time and caused significant stress, inconvenience and disruption. I understand that insurance claims require investigation, and I have tried to remain patient and cooperative, but the continued delay is no longer reasonable, particularly because the outstanding issues may affect vehicle safety. The repairer photographed my car on 20 August and produced an estimate on 16 September for £2,334.44. The estimate describes the work as "accident damage repairs," but mainly covers visible exterior components such as the rear bumper, rear light, brackets, spoiler, bumper panel and trim grilles. It contains no assessment notes explaining the findings. My concern has never been limited to cosmetic damage. Since the accident, I have reported a suspected exhaust leak, abnormal noises from the wheels, problems with the electronic braking system, ADAS functions not operating correctly, and dashboard warnings relating to tyre pressure, LKAS and ACC. The documents provided to me do not show that the exhaust, wheels, wheel bearings, suspension, braking system or ADAS were comprehensively inspected or diagnostically tested. I have not received a complete fault-code report, brake assessment, wheel or suspension report, exhaust-leak test, ADAS calibration report, or a clear technical explanation establishing whether each fault is accident-related. If Admiral believes any damage was pre-existing, I respectfully ask it to provide the written engineering evidence, photographs and technical reasoning supporting that conclusion. The estimate supplied to me contains no such explanation and states that no assessment notes were entered. I have paid for insurance expecting reasonable assistance when an accident occurs. I am not asking for special treatment, only a fair, timely and evidence-based assessment of all the damage, including the safety-critical mechanical and electronic concerns. Admiral, please assign a senior handler, arrange recovery so I am not expected to drive a potentially unsafe vehicle, arrange a comprehensive independent mechanical and electronic inspection, provide the diagnostic and engineering reports, and give me a firm written timetable for resolving the claim. I remain willing to cooperate fully and would prefer to resolve this directly and constructively. However, after more than two months of chasing, I need Admiral to take ownership and act urgently. I will update this review fairly if meaningful action is taken. Reviewed on: 25th September 2026
