I joined Triodos UK after doing so in the Netherland...

I joined Triodos UK after doing so in the Netherlands where I also studied, lived/worked. I wanted an ethical, socially responsible, progressive bank that didn't try and wash its image, and from my experience thus far, that is what they are. I appreciate and value their transparency, whilst I appreciate the type and scope of their investment products available. In regards to the current account, recently they administered an overdraft amnesty which was personally much appreciated whilst representing "a reading of the room"—given the windfall all financial companies and banks received through recent high interest rates. I have not seen nor heard of any other bank behaving in such manner, which speaks dividends (excuse the pun). Reviewed on: 4th March 2025

I invested some inheritance into an established rene...

I invested some inheritance into an established renewable energy company via the Triodos crowdfuning platform. I was looking to invest in a company that worked towards the transition to net zero, whilst offeirng a modest return for my investment. So far (its been 2.5 years) I am very happy with the investment and if the circumstances allow it in the future I would definitely consult the Triodos CFP for further opportunities in a similar vein. They offer a fantastic rolling portfolio of ethical investments and the process of making said investments is simple and efficient. As someone who is looking to accelerate divesting away from banks and financial services that continue to exacerbate the climate emergency and conflicts throughout the globe, this is incredibly important to me and much welcomed. I feel like I can trust Triodos with the options that they provide me for the little money that I can invest. Reviewed on: 16th January 2024

They are the original ethical bank. In today's duplicitous and nefarious world of global finance it's extremely hard to know where to go for a moral and ethical compass with your day-to-day banking and investments. Triodos make that an extremely simple. Reviewed on: 23rd March 2023
