Disappointed with charges

I banked with Nationwide for about 11 years, until very recently. The service I’ve received from Nationwide has always been good, and the staff in branch are always great, but the charges levied on my account were ridiculous. I’m self employed with no fixed pay date, so I’m a typical month I was being charged around £60 for missing direct debits. I understand the reasoning, but the amount is ridiculous. As a result I’ve fallen behind on my bills, had more charges and so on. I’m reluctant to recommend Nationwide based on this. Reviewed on: 14th December 2019

Ethical savings!

I opened a savings account at the same time as my personal account and have been very happy. The best thing for me is that whilst I’m saving, my money isn’t being used to fund unethical businesses. Reviewed on: 14th December 2019

Ethical business account

We run an ethical business and it was exceedingly important to us that our bank account be ethical too. Being very happy personal customers of Triodos, it made sense to open a business account with them too. The process was straightforward and the staff were extremely helpful. We’re very happy that our new account reflects our values, personally and professionally. Account charges are transparent and honest, our money is not used to aid unethical businesses and everything being online gives access whenever we need it. Reviewed on: 14th December 2019

Transparent and ethical

I switched my personal account to Triodos because of their ethics and transparency. I love that my money isn’t being used to further businesses that I consider immoral or unethical. The charges for my account are clear and upfront too. Triodos are not allowing me to get into debt by way of an unarranged overdraft, nor am I bombarded with literature for loans and credit cards. I receive texts when money is due to go out that cant be covered by my balance and I’m also alerted by text when I’m in my overdraft. This keeps me on top of my finances in a way no other account has. Even my debit card is sustainable! I’d happily recommend Triodos to anyone, and frequently do! Reviewed on: 14th December 2019
