Review of the Starling Bank, Business Account:

Brilliant app, great FX rates, and free!

I maintain a small Limited Company for consultancy work I do alongside a full time role elsewhere, so company income is low and any costs associated with running the business are quickly noticeable. As a result of this I ditched HSBC who were charging me £5.50/mo for a current account, as well as charging for FX (I buy a few services in USD). Starling's app is slick and easy to use, the account itself is free, and the FX rates are near perfect. I have a problem at the moment (which I have yet to raise with Starling) where I cannot set up my card on Google Pay as I don't receive the promised text message despite multiple attempts over several weeks. I suspect this will be easily resolved when I contact them, however, and the odd little niggle like this is the only thing making this a 9 and not a 10 star rating. Reviewed on: 3rd January 2020
