Review of the Newbury Building Society, Savings:

Great for both borrowing and saving.

I have been a customer of the Newbury Building Society for over 20 years, beginning with a small savings account and then with the transfer of my mortgage in the 1990s. Their rates were at least as good as any others I could find, but their flexibility was better than most yet without being irresponsible or encouraging me to be so. When a fresh mortgage was required at very short notice a few years ago, the Society's performance was astonishingly quick and helpful. They "go the extra mile", a saying that is so often used in exaggeration but not this time! Reviewed on: 7th January 2020
