Helping to teach my 11year old how to manage money

My son is in year 6 and will be going to high school this September and I thought he should understand the value of money and how to manage it as he will be given dinner money and needs to use it wisely. I also noticed that he was quite careless so now he saves towards what he wants and understands if he spends it all I won't save him as I will provide his needs but not his wants as the generation loves instant gratification and I don't want that for my son. You have to earn what you want in this world and this helps get that message across. As he gets older he will get more and more responsibility. Reviewed on: 18th January 2020
