Simple, easy, transparent

It has been useful to see the dynamics of how my now 13yr old handles credit on a card. It is like an evolving skill. I feel like we are running through the money management experience nice and early and could avoid wasted money later on in life. The pocket money tasks is a good idea and the UI in general is easy to use for both parent and child. It is much better than plying her with notes and coins that can be lost or stolen and is harder to track. Well done Reviewed on: 15th April 2021

Deeply practical and teaches essential life skills

The GoHenry card has brought the best out in my 12yr old I feel like it is giving her lessons about money that I myself did not benefit from as a child. On top of the obvious practicalities and flexibilities of the GoHenry card such as not having to keep coins available for her school travel, there are some deeper lessons about money that my daughter has really caught onto with it and actually surprised me with and made me proud of her. She is loving the gradual increase of balance she gets by not going wild with the little income she gets and she now seems to fully understand how saving and being moderate opens up her options in her life and makes her independent, even if it’s as simple as having the luxury of being able to buy something small like a chocolate whenever she likes. It’s a really good idea to allow tasks on the app to boost these savings because it strengthens the link between work and income and gives great incentive to do good work.
