Review of the Halifax, Fixed Rate Mortgage:

Good new customer mortgages, terrible for existing customer.

Never go with halifax. They have a new policy of not wanting existing customers to stay with them. the mortgage rates they offer existing customers are the same as the standard variable rate. I presume this is to cover them from having to give existing customers the deals regardless of affordability. compare this to other companies that offer the same deals to new and existing. not what you would expect from reputable name which halifax clearly isnt any more. bye bye. you wont see my money again.
