Review of the Newbury Building Society, Mortgages:

bureaucratic and inefficient

I was applying for a small mortgage on a large house easily within my affordability, yet I had to find and produce many pieces of paperwork as if I was a marginal case. Then when I got the offer it was missing 3 pages and I was asked for on document that my solicitor had produced. taking it to the Building Soc office the day before completion i found it closed early. I know its difficult with coronavirus and home working, but this is the most stressful remortgage I have ever done. Reviewed on: 26th June 2020
