I have never been made to feel bad about the situation i got myself into and have always been treated with empathy and in a professional way as regards to my debt and options available. I cannot thank everyone I have spoken to on the phone enough. My debt issues came to a head when I was diagnosed with cancer and going through Stepchange gave me an enormous sense of relief. I only wish I had been courageous enough to do something about it earlier. Although not out of the woods yet I am amazed how much I have paid back already so I would definitely recommend Stepchange to others going through difficult times. Reviewed on: 4th September 2021

Reassuring staff at the other end of the phone

Made me feel normal, like I wasn't a failure or a bad person for having debt. I had been juggling my finances for a number of years before a cancer diagnosis made things impossible. I couldn't believe how easy it was to get help and be put on a payment plan. I really wish I'd contacted them earlier.
