i was drowning in debt following a divorce.

i was drowning in debt following a divorce. I kept putting things off as i was embarrassed about the size of my combined debts and not wanting to address it myself, let alone a 'stranger'. i was also concerned that i would then be getting myself into more debt by acquiring 'fees'. shouldn't have worried, and how i wish i had done this far sooner. Yes, that first phone call is a bit awkward, but the staff are friendly, helpful and non judgemental. After years of debt, i will finally be free next October - and what a wonderful position that will be :-) Reviewed on: 27th May 2025

Stepchange has taken a huge weight off my shoulders

I had got myself in a real financial pickle, following my husband walking out on me and my one year old. I struggled for several years, becoming withdrawn and depressed.
