Life changing moment

I contacted Step Change as I was in a financial mess. My health wasn’t good and I was only receiving statuary sick pay I was drowning in debt and my husband didn’t even know I had debt I couldn’t tell him either as he is a bit of a control freak and it wouldn’t have been good for myself. I thought the only way out of this was to end my own life I couldn’t see any way forward it was one of my debtors that told me of step change. I picked up the courage to call step change I was a nervous wreck on the phone I was crying and I was also very embarrassed about my stupidity in getting into debt in the first instance the wee girl on the phone was absolutely fantastic can’t even remember her name but what a credit to the company she handled my situation with ease and never once judged me. I felt I made a friend that day as I was definitely not in a good place or a good frame of mind I believe I am still alive today for that reason my husband still doesn’t know as I have a budget and I can make one realistic payment. I want to thank Step Change for saving my life and the reason I can write this review .
