Review of the Travel Insurance 4 Medical, Travel insurance:

Amazing service and quickly dealt

I booked a holiday Nov 2019, buying insurance at the end of jan/start of Feb 2020 with travel insurance for medical as I had been diagnosed with bladder cancer a few months prior, and their fee and cover was better and cheaper than mainstream insurers. A few weeks before me and my girlfriend was due to leave, her dad died of cancer, and my mum went into hospital with sepsis, then COVID kicked in and stopped all travel, I cancelled my holiday as I didn’t want to be stuck abroad with my mum in hospital And also miss the funeral for my girlfriends dad, due to covid it was hard trying to get funeral arrangements and then my mum passed away as well, not covid related.... I received 3 emails relating to my claim, 1 to say they received it, 1 to say it was passed for review and then the final one to say they had paid out my claim and apologise for the events i had gone through with my girlfriends dad passing and my mum. It was quick, easy and I really appreciated the turn around. I was only claiming for my half of the holiday which was paid minus my excess, to this day however, 6 months after cancelling and claiming, my girlfriend still hasn’t had her pay out with her travel insurance via the post office Even though she sent in all the same documentation (Death certificates, booking and payment documents, letter from my GP) I sent to my insurer (travel 4 medical). The fact travel insurance 4 medical acted quickly, And didn’t draw out like my girlfriends insurance the process of the claim is a credit to them, they made it easy quick and efficient and didn’t put me through any further heart ache like the post office insurance has done with my girlfriend after us both losing a parent.
