Review of the Mettle, Business Banking:

Close to perfection for my needs as sole trader

I believe I was something of an early adopter for opening an original eMoney style account with Mettle. I was being charged teens of pounds each month simply for having a business account with my former banking provider which seemed to bring no benefits and was rather harsh with me being a sole trader. Mettle was (and for now still is) completely free and I also offer a small amount of interest on positive balances in my new account with them. As with all other providers the platform isn't perfect but for me it is as close as I could probably wish for. Instant notifications via the app when I receive money are particularly useful. I also made great use of the "pots" option to split my funds accordingly. There are a couple of emissions such as no IBAN number, but overall I have and continue to be absolutely delighted. Exceedingly easy to apply

Although it is very early days with our new Waggel pet insurance policy, everything so far has been very impressive (notably the all important "Get a Quote" process, followed by the actual sign-up). Reviewed on: 16th September 2020
