Very straightforward to open an account on-line

Takes 2 weeks to open an account

Tried to open an account online. Seemed to go all right but after a few days I needed to provide extra ID. After this I had to wait over a week to get a verification code. Although I wanted to be able to manage the account on-line I now find if I want to use the local branch I need to ask for a passbook - more delays. I do wonder if it was worth it. Too slow and inflexible. Significant delays after paperwork requests and quite intrusive questions during the underwriting process. Reviewed on: 23rd January 2023

New Savings Account assessment

Although we have 2 existing savings accounts with the Branch we were told we had to have an appointment to open a 3rd. The financial advisor (Laura) went through all our basic information even though you already had it obviously. We proceeded to open the new account with a cheque for £8000. The process seemed laborious for just opening a new account. There is no criticism of Laura who acted professionally at all times. Reviewed on: 23rd January 2023
