8 months pregnant left with no bank card for nearly a month.

New card was ordered due to fraud activity on my account, santander did nothing to help me reclaim the funds. I did get a refund from the company myself and resolved it, no thanks to this bank. On top of this a new card was issued on the 2nd jan with a time scale of 4 to 5 working days. It's the 18th jan and it still has not shown up. I've called them on 3 separate occasions spending over 2 hours on calls so far. 2 complaints have been raise the initial complaint handler Charlie was by far the worst, 2nd handler Beth wasnt much better. I'm waiting on her call back but this is the 3rd time I've been told I'd get a call back this month never to receive one. My situation is I'm over 8 months pregnant without card details I cant even pay for my phone meaning I cant make calls to my midwife or hospital in an emergency situation and given my due date is fast approaching I'm now getting terrified. The time, stress, inconveniences inability to help or take ownership have been appalling I reported this to the financial ombudsmen on Sunday. Today (18 jan) another card was ordered I was told initially 4 to 5 days again then I demanded the expected arrival date that the call centre staff see on their screen I was told the 27th Jan!!! Almost 1 month without a bank card at this stage. As soon as I've had my baby and covid lockdown is lifted I will be joining a more reputable bank. To anyone considering an account with these guys I'd look elsewhere they have left me in a horrible stressful situation. This has been reported to the financial ombudsmen on Sunday so they can investigate this bank and how they treat customers. Reviewed on: 18th January 2021
