Lock down money management

In the turbulent 2021, I started using my "regular" bank debit card instead of cash for shopping. I found it very difficult to keep track of my spending. I had opened a Starling account to help with spending money abroad. I started to use my Starling card for everyday shopping in the Uk and it was amazing. The moment I use it , it pings on my phone. The app allows me to keep track of my spending day by day and month by month. I kept my regular bank account and I just transfer money so much at a time. It gives me peace of mind that if I lose my card or it is hacked no-one would have access to my regular account that my pension is paid into. I asked at my regular bank and they said their app just could not rival that provided by Starling. A big thanks to Starling for helping me manage and control my money using this incredible app. When we return to a new "normal" I will continue to use my Starling card.
