Review of the Starling Bank, Current account:

Innovative, responsive, trustworthy

I took out a Starling Joint current account in December 2019 and was very impressed with the speed of response to my application; everything was up and working within 24 hours, which, compared to the main High Street banks was lightning fast! The Starling App is very easy and intuitive to navigate, providing all the functions I require within 1 or 2 clicks. It also provides detailed upcoming transaction information and alerts which I have never seen on other banking apps. The app has never failed or been unavailable or slow to respond which is a marked difference to my previous bank. Finally, I admire the philosophy and approach of the bank's founder, Anne Boden, which signals a change from the old banks' parasitic attitude where customers were targets for money-making, to a more symbiotic attitude where the financial health and prosperity of both bank and customer is the desired and most sustainable outcome.
