Great free tool with valuable paid-for options

Emma makes the tracking of my finances a doodle. Using it is a very polished experience, from adding an account via tracking spending, to using it as a powerful being tool. Emma does most of the heavy lifting, and is easy to use. You can opt to pay for additional functionality, incl. saving and investing directly in the app. Emma was great when I started using it a couple of years ago, and it's continued to get even better. Review of the Lumio, Personal finance app:

All round view!

Lumio has enabled me to teach and classify my expenses, and track account movements across all my accounts. It supports even loans, mortgages, investments, pensions etc. Lumio summarises things nicely (e.g. net worth, expenses etc) and boasts nice charts that are actually informative, and not just decoration. It supports open banking where available from providers, and screen-scraping for providers that don't (eg Crowdcube, NS&I etc.). Reviewed on: 14th February 2023
