Wasted 5 weeks of our time and nearly lost us our new home

After pre approving us with all the documents in hand and confirming they see no problems with out applications at all we heard nothing for 2 weeks then they kept asking for more and more documents once they were all sent another 2 weeks they went silent then when we chased as were about to lose the property, they came back with we cant lend you the amount we said at the beginning ! Why even pre approve , total cowboys , we went with Halifax and got the full amount in less than 2 weeks during Covid lock down aswell ! Santander you should be ashamed of yourselves !
