Review of the Revolut, Personal Account:

An amazing service and far superior to other UK banks.

I have a black account for which I pay a reasonable monthly fee. The service in itself is excellent. The "vault" system allows you to securely store your savings at a high interest (4%+) whilst being secure and part of the asset protection insurance up to £80k. Revolut is part of faster banking so transfers are instantaneous whereas havkng a Euro account with a euro-based IBAN allows me to have the same facility for EU banks. The exchange facility is first rate and has saved me thousands of pounds in fees and bad rates from other sources - including high street banks. The support is also is excellent. My EU IBAN recently disappeared from my details screen and I panicked about losing it. The support query was answered within. 3 minutes and escalated continuously until it was resolved. I didn't have to hang about on the chat system as I was notified when there was an update. Unlike other banks the servixe was again excellent and reinforced my opinion that this is a really excellent place to manage both my current accounts and my savings. I'm looking forward to when Revolut can offer things like overdrafts and loans. I'm sure it will far surpass current UK offerings. Reviewed on: 14th January 2025

Flexible on cost and functionality

Usually when you go to a bank, they give you their "standard" business account. After a period, you start paying fees for every transaction. If you have the misfortune to accept currency, they really screw you. With revolut, things are simple. You open a free account and stay on it until your (really small) fees reach a certain point. You then have the option to upgrade to a subscription model where you again balance your requirements with the subscription level. You can receive money in many currencies, which is then converted at near-interbank rates or just keep it in a currency account which you can create on the fly. This is an amazing product, aimed at both small and large businesses. Reviewed on: 22nd February 2021
