To begin with, I had no intention of opening a bank account with Metro Bank. My mother, who has significant health issues, needed to place money in her Metro account to cover a bill coming out. She asked me to put the money in her account on her behalf, however, Metro had a new policy which enables only the account holder to deposit cash in to their account, understandably. The assistant was extremely helpful, and recommended that I open my own Metro account, so that I could deposit money in there and transfer in to my mother's metro account. The set up process was efficient and seamless, I had transferred the money to mum's account (after setting up mobile banking with support of the Metro employee), within the space of half an hour. Subsequently, I have moved almost all of my bills and incoming payments to my Metro account as I have found it the most functional and easy-to-use. Reviewed on: 6th March 2021
