Review of the Metro Bank, Current account:

This bank dug me out of a hole

When I returned to the UK in 2010 after 6 years abroad, I had a really bad credit rating caused by a reporting change. I was waiting for a cheque to clear with HSBC from HMRC and had no money to buy food for my three children. HSCB told me there was nothing they could do to help me. In tears, I walked into a Metrobank. Within 5 minutes, I'd been given £50 to buy food and had changed banks! I will NEVER forget the kindness shown to me at a very dark time. In addition, when my son came out as transgender, MetroBank did everything they could to change the policies to allow him to change his banking details. They literally bent over backwards to help. This bank is without a doubt, very special indeed and I'm very grateful for everything they have done for me and my family. The "No more stupid rules" they quote is true. Thank you, Metrobank!
