Review of the Ecology Building Society, Savings:

Transparent, accessible, participative

I've attended several of their AGMs, lively and convivial with food for thought, they certainly try to involve members. Many stories of home renovation/restoration are shared - often life changing and encouraging sustainable approaches. Ecology Building Society wears their ethics on their sleeves.
