The perks of a FlexAccount

5
As a FlexAccount holder I have access to a Flexclusive scheme where I can save up to £500 per month at an interest rate of 5.00% with no restrictions on withdrawal or notice period. The account lasts for a year and then I can just open another one. Not only that as a FlexAccount holder I get complementary travel insurance for travel within Europe. I have used it 4 times in the last 8 months All in all, great value and an account I am very happy with. Well done Nationwide Reviewed on: 1st January 2017

First class breakdown cover

I changed over to the RAC approximately 6 years ago having experienced poor customer service from my previous provider and I couldn't be happier with them. The promptness of their response to a call out is amazing and they deal with the issue quickly and efficiently. I have used them approximately 3 times and never had to wait over 30 minutes; even when I used their Homestart service (on that occasion they said someone would be there in 40-60 minutes but they were there in under 20). Their customer service is excellent and I would not hesitate to recommend them - oh, and they come in cheaper than my previous provider too. I have had some experience of my previous provider since leaving them when my friend's car wouldn't start following an evening out. She called them at 10.40 and we were left sitting on the pub car park until 1.20 before anyone turned up; it was disgraceful. A second friend with another breakdown provider was left waiting for so long when she broke down that she was forced to knock on someone's door and ask them if she could use their toilet. I have told both of them, "change to the RAC, you'll get none of that hassle with them". I definitely wouldn't change! Reviewed on: 7th August 2016

Competitively priced insurance with option of home emergency cover which you can access without impacting on your no claims bonus. They have always been very helpful when I have contacted them with any queries and on a couple of occasions when I have found a better deal with their company via a comparison website they have honoured the lower price; my only criticism would be that there was any differential in the first place Reviewed on: 13th July 2016

Easy, quick, no hassle

I needed proof of my credit score when for some completely inexplicable reason I was turned down for a mortgage. I never did get to the bottom of why but suspect that the previous tenants had run up debts as I used to get letters addressed to them which appeared to be from credit companies and they did a moonlight flit from the address they moved to. Anyway, I set about proving my impeccable track record by obtaining my Experian score; it was so easy, quick and hassle free and in no time at all I was moving into my new home, mortgage approved. Great service! Reviewed on: 29th June 2016

Car insurance

Unbelievable! I had my renewal through at around £300; just to double check I went onto a couple of comparison websites to find my basic premium was £13 cheaper! To be fair, when I rang them they did honour the cheaper quote and knocked off the !3 difference but I really do not feel it should have been necessary for me to do that. Why are they quoting more favourable rates online? They also stuck a load of "extras" on which I had neither asked for nor wanted. I ended up saving £51 by going online. Happy with the person I dealt with on the phone who was very helpful and acknowledge that they reduced their prices but feel a bit ripped off that it was necessary for me to have to go on-line to get a fair deal Reviewed on: 30th May 2016
