Great option for a new small business

I started my small business in 2019. I was told I needed a business bank account so that I could keep my business money separate from my personal money. This is really good advice. I soon discovered, however, that setting up a business bank account is quite difficult. Banks don't welcome you with open arms. They make you fill in lots of paperwork before deciding whether they are prepared to take your money or not. I tried several banks and building societies who offered free banking for a year or eighteen months. Yes, business banking is not free! Another shock. You get charged for every transaction you make. None of the places I tried made it easy for me. That was until I tried Metro. I liked them from the start because they had a local bank that was open even on Sundays. Every time I go in, it feels friendly and welcoming. There aren’t any queues. It feels like a comfortable hotel lobby. I made an appointment and took my paperwork into the bank. One of their people went through the sign up process and explained everything to me. It was friendly and stress-free. It took about an hour, after which I finally had a business bank account. It's been plain sailing ever since. I've had no complaints and I would recommend them to anybody in my position. Opening a bank account is one of those challenges that awaits you.
