Customer Service is non-existent.

Customer Service is non-existent. No telephone number to call, and their app has no security. It is the only Financial App that I have on my phone that does NOT have a login (all others have) and if I lose my phone, anyone can access the app! Reviewed on: 20th February 2024

Due to the nature of the Chip app and the service we offer, our customer contact is mainly through our app-based chat (which can be found on the 'Profile' tab in-app) and our support email address [email protected]. Please do get in touch with us through one of these channels and we'll be sure to get back to you as soon as possible. In regards to the login issue you've mentioned, we do have this feature. You can activate the secure login via the 'Profile' tab in-app. This will require a PIN or fingerprint when you open the app, and log you out automatically when you close it. Not transparent or honest, feel taken advantage of

Chip has not earned my trust. It only wants customers who have more than £10k to save, and their APP stealthily takes money from my bank account which I don't want it to, and charges me for doing it! It has a good rate of easy access interest, but putting money in and taking money out is hardly EASY with so many hoops to go through, It also needs access to all my bank account and transaction data which I don't need to give to my other easy access accounts. It doesn't give me a sort code or account number to use so I am not in control. and their customer services is non-existent I have to use their APP messaging service (WHICH IS NOT CHAT!) and wait at least 3 days for an answer. Clearly I'm not the type of customer that Chip wants and I don't think I am asking for anything unreasonable as a customer. Reviewed on: 31st March 2023

Probably the only APP account that I used regularly. its great. Very competitive savings rate, and the next part is the mobile electronic debit card and the physical debit card that gives me access all my money very easily. They have thought this through very well Reviewed on: 31st March 2023
