Really easy, fast and convenient

The business account got me hooked on Starling and I've moved my personal accounts over too now. The instant notifications, card-locking, "spaces" (put money aside, e.g. for tax), API access are all really useful. Reviewed on: 16th February 2022

Excellent service gives me what I need to work efficiently and better ethics than most

I'm using Starling Bank for my sole trader business. The instant messages on payments etc. are really valuable, letting me know as soon as a client has paid and helping me keep an eye on outgoings. The support is really helpful, fast enough, and they don't speak down to you like other banks do. Card lock is sensible and being able to categorise and add descriptions to transactions is extremely helpful; API looks useful (I'm a programmer). Finally, I spent a lot of time looking for a bank that does not invest in the arms trade or fossil fuels and was pleased to find that Starling won't invest in nor offer services to these companies.
