Outstanding business account opening experience

Having started a new company, I needed a new bank account. I wanted one with full online capability and having reviewed the market, decided on Starling. I was expecting to have to send some kind of physical documentation, which, during the pandemic and with a broken printer, wasn't going to be easy. As it turned out, I was able to do everything online. Sweet! Then, the icing on the cake: I had been sent some personal cheques that I needed to pay in. My existing personal accounts did not have mobile/app pay-in facilities, and I wasn't looking forward to standing in line at the post office/etc. So I thought, how about a Starling personal account? About 5 taps later - yes, really - I had a new personal Starling account. Another handful of taps and 4 pictures later, and the 2 cheques were paid in too. OUTSTANDING! Reviewed on: 7th April 2021
