Real sustainability, not "greenwash"

The future of the UK and global economy depend on urgent and comprehensive action to address the climate crisis. The majority of financial institutions are making vague noises about doing something "by 2050" but in practice it's business as usual, financing the manufacture of deadly weapons, massive new fossil fuel and mineral extraction projects, and propping up tyrannical murderous regimes throughout the world. As well as being morally obnoxious, this diverts finance and human talent from constructive and environmentally sustainable activities which will ensure that the planet will be fit for future generations to survive and thrive. Ecology Building Society is one of the (currently) pitifully few institutions which operates on 100% ethical principles - the sooner all banks follow suit, the greater the chance of avoiding global disaster.
