Easy way to help children learn about finances and the value of money

5
We joined Rooster last summer 2020, with two children now in secondary school and the world becoming ever more cashless- especially with using the school bus with no mum to nag them to sanitise their hands after handling a cash fare! What I mostly love about Rooster is the three ‘troughs’ their money can sit in, encouraging them to save and give as well as have their spending money. There is a good element of control for me as their parent, I get an alert when they spend, and I can quickly and easily send them a top up through the app whenever they are. I also like that I can look back through all the transactions, especially helpful when they claim I have forgotten to give them their pocket money or bus fare (which I usually have!). Rooster has given my kids the freedom and independence they craved, whilst allowing me to guide them and it gives us flexibility to add or deduct money as needed Reviewed on: 13th April 2021
