AA Ireland hidden cancellation charges

Insured my wifes car with AA, premium went up and when I challenged it I was told it was because of the age of the car. Changed the car for a newer model (imported from NI) and guess what, premium went up by another 250!! I cancelled for a cheaper insurance company and they demanded their hidden cancellation fees and also withhold no claims bonus letter until this is paid. Avoid at all costs!!!
