Outstanding Service & Customer Care

With 22 years mortgage advice and thousands of clients I know of no other UK lender that goes the extra mile when you are up against a time constraint which needs process flexibility. The recent Stamp Duty deadline presented us with such a situation. With only 5 days remaining our client called to say that heir new Barratt home had completed 2 months ahead of time and could we arrange exchange and completion in 5 days. This was before the final lender valuation had been undertaken, the CML sign off booked and the issuance of the NHBC certificate, which normally takes 14 days. Then there was the small matter of the lender requiring 7 days to arrange release of funds. And all this had to happen during the busiest week of completions the industry has seen in years. If any further proof is required about how the Family Building Society works, let me tell you the funds arrived in our solicitor's bank account at midday on the last possible day and we were able to complete on time. The many thousands of pounds this amazing effort saved in Stamp Duty my clients is testament to how small specialist lenders have the ability to surprise and amaze. My client and my personal thanks must go to Karen Burke, Dawn Mclaughin and Andy Deeley who are total stars and real credits to their employer. Reviewed on: 2nd July 2021
