I was going mad constantly worrying about money. I'm disabled and at times wanted to end it all. My friend told me of stepchange (we'd never had money problems before, but after work drying up and income becoming less and less we found ourselves in a terrible situation). No judgement. Just help and understanding

We were going out of our minds worrying after a change in finances left us unable to meet our commitments. After being told about stepchange we phoned them and they have been non judgemental and helped immensely with my mental health. If anyone has worries financially, please don't let it ruin your life. Contact stepchange for support and help. Nobody wants to go through this kind of thing in their lives but the fact that these post covid times has left many of us in a much different situation and it's so wonderful to have this kind of assistance. I was able to sleep at night for the first time in months after a kind man from Step Change helped mep

Our finances changed over a period of a few months from being affluent to being in debt to the point of me having a breakdown. First it was lack of work and then the pandemic. Step Change wasn't somewhere I'd heard of but a friend told me about them. I telephoned them and they sorted out a plan for us.
