A Step-Change back to a normal life

My wife became seriously ill and had to have Open Heart Surgery. We still had two children at school and my wife was unable to work for about three and a half years. With a mortgage, a loan and four mouths to feed plus all of the other usual bills on one wage, the credits cards eventually maxed out. We'd painted ourselves into a corner financially and needed a way out of this somehow - the bank actually suggested Step-Change to us. So I contacted them and found the whole process very easy and helpful. They managed to put my mind at ease, by putting a Debt Management Plan in place that took a single monthly payment to pay our creditors.
