Outstanding service delivered by an outstanding team

(Note: this is from my email to Stepchange yesterday) I wish to bring to your attention that yesterday I had my review discussion with 'Andy'. Prior to talking to Andy I had been dreading this review as I was faced with exceptional difficulties surrounding my Wife's health for the past year and it has been an extremely stressful time for me in trying to run a home, see to our finances along with managing my Wife's needs both physical and mental. My Wife had been through a lot of tests and every scan under the sun and we were informed that we were probably looking at Cancer. However all of these tests and scans confirmed that it wasn't cancer but a condition called Ostia Penia which had led to several fractures of her spine over many years and without us knowing until it all came to a head with my Wife experiencing horrendous pain and being admitted to hospital. I'm telling you this because the stresses and strains of all of this has been enormous for myself and due to her ongoing condition we now need to make some substantial changes to our lives and home and surroundings so how on earth could I get my head around dealing with this in terms of preparation for my review and allocating costs for several high cost items. When I called to do my review, I got through to a guy called Andy. I have managed large Customer Service Centres myself during my career and without a shadow of doubt I would have considered myself very fortunate to have had someone of his calibre working alongside me as part of my team. Andy listened intently, his questioning skills made it so easy for me to unravel the scrambled mess in my head and with his patience we managed to find a suitable way of catering for all my needs going forwards. I can't tell you how it felt to have what seemed like a huge weight on my shoulders lifted off piece by piece. There's nothing better for a client than feeling that the person you are talking to actually cares about their role and Andy was so professional. Please pass on my sincere regards to Andy for all his help yesterday and congratulations to Stepchange for having such a great ambassador in your organisation.
