Professional, friendly, helpful staff offering solutions which are recognised by the financial institution which shows your creditors you are being responsible - they are a friend in a crisis!

Friendly, helpful and not judgemental - they helped us find a way forward when things got tricky. They talked though our monthly budget and recognised we were facing difficulties as our income had changed, they supported us to be able to ask our lenders for breathing space (in effect freezing all the interest on our debts and reducing payments to the minimum for a couple of months whilst we found a way forward with Step Change. Then Stepchange spend time with us reviewing our monthly outgoings and income before advising us of our options. When we decided which way to go they set everything up for us. We make 1 payment a month to StepChange and they pay our creditors. I'd advise anyone facing difficulty in meeting repayments (or maybe not spending on basics to pay debts or taking out more debt to pay existing debt) to get in touch. They are kind, approachable, they listen without judgement and they offer good clear advise and a range of solutions. Reviewed on: 5th August 2021
