Don’t even hesitate, just switch and save money! I felt a bit skeptical when I first came across this insurance company, as paying by mileage wasn’t something I had heard of before. However, I felt like I had to give it a go as a lot of the time my car isn’t used and I felt like I was throwing money away with other providers! After using By Miles for a couple of months, I can honestly say I am over the moon. My insurance costs have halved, with some months being as little as £15 instead of the £55 I was paying with previous providers! I love being able to go onto the app and check how many miles I’ve done and it’s also amazing how it caps the mileage for those days where you drive a bit further afield (eg a beach trip) so you never end up paying for more than 150 miles in one day! Perfect!! The app is also fantastic for me to calculate how much petrol I need to charge clients for travelling to jobs and helps me keep an eye on how much I’m actually using my car. The little mile reader was easy to install and I haven’t had any issues with it. I even spoke to customer services when it first arrived for a bit of guidance before installing and they were very friendly and helpful.
