Great insurance cover for my current needs, however...

Great insurance cover for my current needs: since the start of the pandemic my entire car use has changed dramatically, and the policy afforded by ByMiles has helped save me a lot of money while still giving full cover and peace of mind. However, due to a serious screw up on their behalf at the start of my policy, I can't give them full marks. Essentially I had 10 years no claim discount to carry over from my previous insurance company. They claimed they couldn't find it, so I found it for them. Then when I found it for them, they said it wasn't valid because the previous insurance company hadn't validated it, so I got the previous insurance company to validate it. Then they said still couldn't accept it because they couldn't get it validated even though I had done all the leg work for them, I even gave them the contact information of one of the managers of the previous insurance company, and the written letter of certification from that manager, to ByMiles AND this still wasn't enough. Eventually, the manager from the previous policy called ByMiles to confirm the NCD I hold and ByMiles finally relented, but only after threatening to close my policy and leave me insurance-less over night.
