Watch out for the fine print

My bike was left overnight in front of my house, chained with two massive locks. Thieves unscrewed and stole some components, totalling £400 damage but cycleplan refused to cover this claim in the first call. I was advised that I have to store my bike inside my flat(!) to be covered for theft according to the t&c, if it's chained on the premises of the property it's not covered. What a joke for a specialised bike insurance. My home insurance convered the claim instead with no fuss. Will definitely not renew my policy. Reviewed on: 23rd August 2017
