Twin saving graces

I was in a very vulnerable, difficult position when I first contacted Stepchange. They offered twin saving graces of practical, structured debt management with friendly, helpful, non judgemental advice and support. I could not have dealt with my debt without them. Reviewed on: 2nd May 2024

I frequently recommend Stepchange to friends who find themselves in the position I did, with a good income but debts that made it impossible to survive. Stepchange staff were always friendly, non judgemental but honest. The rules are fair but strict enough to keep you on the path of debt repayment, I am 72 now and my circumstances have changed dramatically since I first dealt with them, my husband left me and I had to rent a bungalow and pay all my own bills but the flexibility and support has enabled me to do that and still keep up my repayments.
