A way out of debt hell

I was in uncontrollable debt and with no hope of getting out of it. I had taken out loans and maxed credit cards just to get by, to by food and necessities for the family, and every month was getting tougher and tougher. When my wife and I split, I was left with responsibility for the kids, and with a crushing debt. Step Change immediately gave me hope and took control. The interest piling on the debts was stopped and a debt management plan put in place. 5 years later, I have no debt whatsoever, and I've booked the first summer holiday for us away in the Sun this July for many years- all paid without any debt. I have savings now, and now my money isn't servicing debt, I have more money going into the savings each month than I used to have to get by when crushed by debt. The DMP and StepChange have literally changed my life, from one filled with constant worry and anxiety, to one of hope and security. Reviewed on: 2nd May 2024
