My claim

I had a flood in my home, made a claim within a few days but it took Saga months to process the claim because 'they lost my file.' An assessor was appointed who visited my home once then all other communication was done over the phone. The amounts allowed for repair were astonishing. Assessor stated that their contractors could do the work for less than 1/3 of my quotes. When questioned, he was unable to confirm that said contractors were qualified. Who wants handyman working on their home? After a long battle (over the phone), I felt I had no other choice than to settle for less than 1/3 of what it cost me for the repairs.
