Complete waste of money

Basically a few days after I purchased my car it was hit by a pedestrian who was drunk and damaged the door leaving a big dent and scratch. Direct Line were particularly unhelpful and the claim dragged on for 2.5 years. During that time I was made to pay extra for my car insurance as I had 'lost' my no claims bonus. I eventually got sick of waiting for a resolution and cancelled the claim. So not only was I out of pocket but still had a damaged car. Reviewed on: 11th September 2017
