will not renew if you make a claim

I was with them because of their good name, although hardly the cheapest. I had made a claim (after 15 years) and following that they refused to renew my insurance. It was the only thing that had changed in my circumstances in the year, and were the only insurer that would not quote me. They also refused to give me a reason.
