PayPal credit card purchases "stopped" !!!

My new PayPal credit credit attempts at making online purchases keep getting "stopped" by PayPal... twice. When I ring customer service, which takes 40 mins yo get through, staff are unable to help me or tell me why my online purchases are being stopped. They just tell me the system has "risk" against my purchase attempts. Another told me its teething problems with the new PayPal credit card. Most inconvenient and extremely annoying. PayPal credit card payment stopped by PayPal

Usually all good with PayPal but last week I was trying to make a payment with my PayPal credit card however PayPal stopped the payment 3 times. I was told there was a system update and to try again in a few hours. I attempted payment twice more but again PayPal stopped the payment. i rang customer support again only to be told I now had to wait 72 hours for the system to update so I could try again. Needless to say I haven't bothered attempting another online payment, pity, it has left me sceptical about being able to make an online payment successfully. Reviewed on: 6th April 2026

I always avail if PayPal credit, it conveniently allows my to spread my £100+ purchases interest free over 4 months... LOVE IT! Reviewed on: 13th June 2022
