Sheffield Credit Union real people, not algorhythms

Sheffield Credit Union means dealing with your money with real people, decisions made by committees not algorhythms, they are just really helpful. It's like a friendly bank, how we imagine banks used to be, because it's essentially working for the membership, credit unions are not-for-profit. Reviewed on: 18th April 2025

A caring group of people

I have borrowed money from Sheffield Credit Union, more than once, and I was very comfortable with this because it feels like a caring group of people rather than a financial corporation. I also try to attend their general meetings, and it's good to feel valued and included as a member of this local and democratic co-operative. Reviewed on: 14th April 2024

Friendly and helpful with finances

Credit Unions are a great way to save, without profiting the big banks. Instead the savings help members in our community, with easy services and friendly staff. Reviewed on: 30th June 2023

Friendly and helpful with your finances

I use the credit union to save for a rainy day, and every time I have to deal with the staff they're always friendly and helpful, and that matters a lot to me. Unlike a bank, where the staff seem to be forced to follow a script, being a member of Sheffield Credit Union feels a bit like being in a big extended family. Reviewed on: 15th June 2022
